Tottenham sold Harry Kane to Bayern Munich in the summer but former manager Harry Redknapp has slammed suggestions they’re better off without him.
Kane joined Bayern for around £100m after Daniel Levy finally caved and sold his star man. Since then, things have gone brilliantly for both, with Kane flying in Germany and Tottenham top of the Premier League.
Heung-Min Son has stepped up to the plate as centre-forward at Spurs. However, former boss Harry Redknapp has rubbished suggestions that Spurs are better off without Kane up top.
Harry Redknapp says Tottenham would still be better with Harry Kane
Speaking in an interview for The Express, Redknapp admitted he doesn’t think Spurs can win the title.
However, he feels if they still had Kane, along with the new signings, then it would be a different story.
“People say they are better without Harry Kane, but that’s rubbish. Nobody is better without Harry Kane. He’s the best centre-forward in the world,” Redknapp said.
“If he was still at Spurs he would have scored 12 goals already – and had another half dozen or so assists as well. If they had brought James Maddison in, and Micky Van de Ven, and kept Kane – then they would have a team which could win the league.”

Kane would fly in this Postecoglou team
Redknapp is right here. Harry Kane in this Tottenham side with this way of playing would be a huge player.
Postecoglou said it himself that he’d find a place for Kane in the Spurs team and while they are flying at the moment, Kane would make a difference.
All the best teams in the world have top goalkeepers and a top striker. The signing of Vicario seems to have ticked the goalkeeping box for Spurs. But losing Kane means they are short up top, especially given Richarlison’s form.
Tottenham, then, might well need to move for a new striker if they are serious about winning things.
