23-year-old Tottenham player is so popular with Spurs coaches, they love how hard he works

Dejan Kulusevski is incredibly popular with his Tottenham Hotspur teammates and the staff at the club, with everyone impressed by how much effort the Sweden international puts in.

That is according to a report from The Athletic, which notes that the winger is the player who has covered the most ground in the Premier League so far this season.

It has been an interesting start to the season for Dejan Kulusevski. The 23-year-old has scored against Bournemouth and Sheffield United. However, it is surely fair to say that he has been almost the forgotten attacker as James Maddison and Son Heung-min continue to steal the show.

Tottenham players and staff absolutely love Dejan Kulusevski

Kulusevski made an absolutely rapid start to life at Tottenham. He scored five goals and contributed eight assists during the opening months of his loan spell in North London.

However, the assists have somewhat dried up since then. And Kulusevski does not always seem to make the right decision when in the final third for Tottenham.

Nevertheless, it appears that no-one at Spurs has lost any faith in the youngster. The Athletic reports that the players and staff absolutely love the effort Kulusevski puts in. And thus, he is incredibly popular amongst those at the club.

Winger has the quality to hit purple patch soon

Ange Postecoglou will surely not have too many complaints about what Kulusevski is doing right now. He clearly has the potential to make more of an impact in the final third. He has already proven that during his time at Tottenham.

Postecoglou has his principles. And Kulusevski’s style of play appears to fit perfectly into that style, with his relentless running and selfless work for the team.

Given his potential, he is going to prove to be an outstanding signing at £25 million in the years to come. And it would be no surprise if he soon hit a purple patch in front of goal – which made him even more popular.
