Sky Sports pundit blown away by ‘incredibly impressive’ Leeds player v Leicester last night

Leeds United sent a message to the rest of the Championship last night as they ground out a fine win over Leicester City.

The Whites held firm in defence and then took their chance when it came, as Georginio Rutter scrambled home from a corner.

For Leeds boss Daniel Farke, it was another fine performance and another step in the right direction, as a number of his players produced on the night.

And one of those players to produce was new signing Glen Kamara, who played a fine role in the middle of the park to stifle the Foxes.

Sky Sports pundit seriously impressed by Glen Kamara

Speaking about Kamara in the Sky studio after the game, former Championship star Jobi McAnuff was full of praise for the former Rangers midfielder.

“Absolutely. Tonight, in terms of his energy, aggressiveness, the way he breaks things up and gets them playing again. I just feel they’ve got a real nice in blend in there now. A real physicality which you have to have in the Championship,” McAnuff said.

“We spoke about Archie Gray earlier in the season and how good he was. He (Kamara) has had to bide his time but what you want as a manager is when you give someone a chance you want them to go and take it and he has done that. I thought he was incredibly impressive tonight.”

Kamara shows his worth to Leeds

Every Rangers fan has seen how good Glen Kamara can be and he is now starting to show to Leeds fans just how effective he can be.

Really, his style suits the Championship down to the ground and his battling qualities in the middle of the park are ideal at this level.

Kamara proved last night against the best team in the league that he is a top player and someone who Leeds will use a lot throughout the campaign.

Certainly, based on this performance last night, Kamara will end up playing a crucial role for Daniel Farke.
