Another Serie A side has now scouted 18-year-old Celtic player and been left impressed

The future of Rocco Vata at Celtic is something that has really grabbed the headlines over the past few months.

The 18-year-old has been impressing on international duty with the Republic of Ireland u21’s as well as in the Celtic B team.

And his form has been as such that Torino and RB Leipzig have both scouted the young Celtic winger.

But now, according to the Daily Record, Vata has been watched by another Serie A side. The report says that Frosinone are the latest club to be left impressed with the youngster.

The report says, “Frosinone had Vata watched when he was away with Ireland under-19s in Albania earlier this month and they were impressed.

“Nottingham Forest also had an offer for Vata turned down in the summer window and are likely to renew their interest come the summer.

“A number of clubs also watched the teenager net for Celtic last week in their Premier League International Cup defeat to Brighton.”

Rocco Vata looks on his way out of Celtic

The youngster has still to put pen to paper on a new deal at Celtic after turning down an offer in the summer even though he did have ambitions of becoming a Celtic first-team player.

And it looks like he has no intention of doing so. Former Celtic hero, Peter Grant, believes Vata is on his way out after he shared what he heard about the youngster’s future at the club.

Vata’s u21 manager, Jim Crawford, also shed some light on Vata’s situation at Celtic back in September when he said, “Rocco is ambitious. Reading between the lines, I think he wants to get out and play first-team football. Is he going to get that at Celtic?

“It’s probably unlikely at this stage but that is between Rocco, his representatives and the club what’s best for him going forward.”

So all the signs seem to be pointing towards Vata leaving Celtic either in January for a small fee or for free in the summer as the youngster can talk to clubs in less than six weeks’ time to sort out his future.

What Brendan Rodgers has said about Rocco Vata at Celtic

The Celtic manager spoke at the beginning of the season regarding Vata’s future at Celtic and he revealed how he set the young winger a challenge.

Rodgers said, “He’s developed physically. There are aspects of his game that he needs to work on to make the next jump but his attitude is good.

“He’s strong, quick, he wants to score goals. There is lots of development he needs, if he’s willing to do that.”

Vata is yet to see any first-team minutes under Rodgers despite his impressive goal-scoring record for the Celtic youngsters this season.

Is it possible that Rodgers knows he is going to lose Vata and that is why he hasn’t featured for the Hoops? Only the Celtic manager can tell us that.

One thing is for sure, with the amount of attention Vata is getting, he is going to be heading for a Celtic exit if the club can’t get him tied down in the immediate future.
