Gary Lineker reacts to Mohamed Salah’s impressive Liverpool performance

Liverpool’s title charge remains reignited after a sweeping 3-1 win over West Ham United in London.

Despite Craig Dawson’s late consolation, Liverpool surged to victory courtesy of a brace from Mohamed Salah and a Gigi Wijnaldum finish.

Salah again looked back to his best and the Egyptian’s two goals were of the highest class.

The second, in particular, was special. Latching onto a long ball from Xherdan Shaqiri, the winger took a delicate touch with his right foot before slotting home with the outside of his left.

It was an ineffable touch of stardust from the Liverpool forward which had fans and neutrals purring online.

One such neutral was Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker.

He pointed out that Salah’s two-goal salvo had taken him to an impressive milestone.

Salah has now scored at least 20 goals for the Reds in his past four seasons. It is quite the impressive record for a player who some critics suggested would be a one-season wonder after his stunning 44 goal opening campaign as an Anfield star.

Salah is now on 21 goals for the season and is well on track to get close to the scoring tally from his first season on Merseyside.

Lineker is right, Salah is a fantastic player.
