Leeds United picked up a very impressive win in the Premier League earlier today, as they got payback on Leicester City at the King Power Stadium with a fervent 3-1 win.
Leeds demonstrated immense counter-attacking abilities and high pressing to secure victory with brilliant goals from Stuart Dallas and Jack Harrison sandwiching a strike from the man that assisted them Patrick Bamford’s brilliant top corner finish.
There were many highlights of the game for Leeds fans. Not only was Bamford’s class on full show but Raphinha’s pass for the second, the performance of Pascal Struijk, and the boundless energy of Dallas had fans purring online.
However, no moment in the game gained more support than a tackle from Liam Cooper.
The Leeds United captain put in an absolutely stonking challenge on Leicester forward Ayoze Perez.
It was an absolute throwback to the years of Billy Bremner, the type of challenge old school fans are sad to have seen evaporate out of the game.
Clearly, Cooper himself was happy with the chance to put in such a strong but clean challenge on his opponent.
Fans online reacted with similar excitement and it was another improved display from Cooper, who is now starting to look more and more comfortable with his status as a Premier League defender.
