Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor must be a dream for Brendan Rodgers

Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor is reportedly on the radar of Premier League club Brighton.

According to the Scottish Sun, Brighton are plotting a £10million move for the Scotland international and have been tracking his progress this campaign.

But the 25-year-old has shown in recent weeks why he’s indispensable at Parkhead and surely manager Brendan Rodgers can’t consider selling him for a moment.

McGregor is a versatile ace that can play anywhere in midfield and proved that in midweek by filing the void left by the injured Scott Brown in the Europa league.

The left-footed ace excelled in a deeper role against high-profile German opposition RB Leipzig and looks the real deal wherever he plays on the pitch.

McGregor covers every blade of grass when he plays due to his immense work-rate and is a well-rounded player with many strings to his bow.

He has the quality going forward to make a serious impact in the final third with goals and assists, as he’s been directly involved in eight goals so far this season.

But the Celtic mainstay has also proven he’s got the intelligence to play a more disciplined role too if required and isn’t afraid to put his foot in.

Rodgers is extremely fortunate to have such a felixaeble ace up his sleeve and can rely on him to do a job in any position.
