Celtic fans react as Callum McGregor impresses yet again in 5-0 win

Normal service is resumed in Scotland. Hearts were dealt a 5-0 thrashing in the Scottish
Premiership yesterday by Celtic. After a slow start to the campaign, it seemed Hearts might take advantage. However, Celtic remain the team to beat. This thumping win puts Brendan Rodgers’ side one point behind the Edinburgh club, with a game in hand.

There were some fine displays from the Celtic team. Filip Benkovic was impressive again, Ryan Christie continues to improve whilst Odsonne Edouard may be Scotland’s top striker.

But Callum McGregor was by far the best player on the pitch.

The 25-year-old has been asked to play in a deeper role recently, due to the absence of skipper Scott Brown.

He has taken to it with aplomb. His composure and vision has seen Celtic become a far more creative threat, hence their current run of three wins in a row, 13 goals scored, none conceded.

McGregor brings a creative outlet perhaps lacking in the heart of midfield when the more industrious Brown plays and plenty of Celtic fans are thoroughly enjoying having him prove his positional dexterity.
