Celtic must resist any £10 million bid for Callum McGregor this winter

Celtic are likely to field offers for Callum McGregor this January. According to The Sun on Sunday, Brighton and Hove Albion are considering a £10 million offer for the player in winter.

The report claims he is interested in a move to the Premier League. If Celtic fall out of the Europa League before the winter, then he will be willing to make the move to England.

Celtic, however, must be strong and resist selling the player.

McGregor has come into the team over the past few seasons and his form is currently giving Scott Sinclair a tough time in regards to playing time.

Under Brendan Rodgers, he has thrived, even if he has failed to register a goal or assist so far this season.

The Bhoys obviously struggle to keep hold of their star players, especially when they decide it is time to try their luck south of the border.

Eventually, the time might come where Celtic find it impossible to keep the Scotland international. However, he only signed a new deal last summer and is under contract until 2021. Celtic can, therefore, stay strong and keep the player at Celtic Park over the winter. If a big offer comes in next summer, then it might be a different story.
