Liel Abada has made an impressive start to life at Celtic – but the young talent is already dreaming of a move down south, preferably to Liverpool.
Abada, 20, joined Celtic from Maccabi Petah Tivka in the summer for £3.5million (Sun). He has already clocked up 15 appearances for the Hoops.
In that time, the Israel international has had a hand in 10 goals – scoring six and creating four. He has started all eight league games for Celtic so far.
His form is stunning for a young player, in a struggling Celtic side. Players are renowned for using Celtic as a springboard to the Premier League.
Abada appears to be in the same boat. Speaking to Israeli outfit Sport5, the Celtic star spoke about how he dreams of playing in a Liverpool shirt.
“My dream was and remains to play in England, in one of the teams in the Premier League,” Abada said, when asked about his future at Celtic.
“The biggest dream is Liverpool, but I have to keep working hard here, to prove myself, not important too far. Step by step.”

Without a doubt, but you will not find Liverpool directly buying from Celtic. Abada will have to prove himself at a lesser Premier League club, first.
Most Liverpool players did exactly that. Both Sadio Mane and Virgil van Dijk sparkled for Southampton before moving to Liverpool.
Jordan Henderson did at Sunderland, Andy Robertson at Hull, and plenty more. Players have to prove themselves at Premier League level first.
If Abada continues to shine at Celtic over the next couple of seasons, then a club like Southampton might come in for him. Then, he is a step closer.
