A number of Celtic fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the display of Liel Abada as the Hoops put one foot in the next round of the Europa League qualifiers on Thursday with a win over Jablonec.
Ange Postecoglou’s side secured a 4-2 win in the Czech Republic. It was a much-needed victory for the Bhoys after their disappointing start to the campaign.
And Abada was pivotal in their performance. The 19-year-old opened the scoring with a smart finish after his initial effort was blocked 12 minutes in.
And he also played a key role in the third goal. His good work on the edge of the box led to the Israel international getting a shot away.
It was saved, but only parried into the path of James Forrest. The winger thumped the ball home for a crucial goal at a time when Celtic were starting to come under a little pressure.
Despite the result, it does appear that there is still plenty of work for Postecoglou to do. Similarly, the Celtic board have plenty to do before the window shuts.
