Tottenham are reportedly interested in Benfica defender Ruben Dias – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter are keen to complete a deal for him.
The Daily Express reports that the 22-year-old is being targeted by Spurs boss Jose Mourinho, who is plotting a £120million overhaul of his defence in the summer transfer window.
It is explained that that the North London club are keen on the Benfica centre-back alongside Premier League rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.
The report details that Dias has an £80million buyout clause in his current deal with Benfica after signing a contract back in November with the Portuguese giants.
Dias is named as a main defensive target for Mourinho going into the summer alongside Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake, Norwich City’s Max Aarons, Nice’s Youcef Atal and Leicester City’s Ben Chilwell.
A selection of Spurs supporters on social media believe that Dias ticks all the boxes for a summer target and would like to see him join.
The Portugal international is a young ball-playing centre-back that is a leader in the Benfica defence and is on the radar of Mourinho.
