Wolverhampton Wanderers have been credited with an interest in Portugal defender Ruben Dias.
According to Express & Star, the Black Country club have entered the race to sign the Benfica star, who is also interesting Real Madrid, Manchester United and Arsenal.
Dias has made 85 first-team appearances for the club so far, with 30 of those coming last season.
The 22-year-old is highly regarded in his homeland and is set for a bright future in the game.
Ominously for Wolves, Dias is a part of Jorge Mendes’ Gestifute Agency, which has facilitated several deals for the club over the past couple of years.
TBR’s view
Wolves will be onto a winner if they can snap up the ball-playing Dias this summer.
The interest from some of Europe’s biggest clubs is a sure-fire indicator that the 6ft 1in ace is someone with big potential.

Wolves were fairly solid at the back last term but, arguably, it is currently the weakest aspect of their starting XI.
Dias would be an upgrade on all three of Ryan Bennett, Willy Boly and Conor Coady – certainly in terms of playing out from the back.
Potentially, he could what Wolves need to help them break into the top six.
However, the sticking point is surely going to be the proposed fee, with Dias currently protected by a £57 million release clause.
