Ruben Dias is the next Portuguese player that Wolves should target

Wolverhampton Wanderers should make Ruben Dias their transfer priority in the January transfer window.

There is a strong Portuguese contingent at Molineux and spearheaded by Nuno Espirito Santo, it is working wonders in the Premier League.

Wolves are on the charge towards a successful season. And the crux of their team is made up of Portuguese players.

With the likes of Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio starring for Wolves, there are no secrets behind their success.

Wolves will continue to target Portuguese players in the future. And Dias needs to be the next man through the door.

The 21-year-old is a central defender who currently plays for Benfica. In both the Champions League and the Primeira Liga, he is standing out as a top talent.

Dias is young but already has plenty of first-team experience and should be able to make the step up to English football.

The 3-cap Portugal international stands at 6ft 2in tall, ensuring he is strong in the air. He is also confident playing the ball out of the back, as Nuno expects from his Wolves defenders.

In Willy Boly and Conor Coady, Wolves have two strong central defenders.

But they could do better than Ryan Bennett. Dias is the perfect upgrade and January is the time to snap him up.

If they wait any longer, other big sides might swoop and he is one for the future as well as being an immediate fix.
