Jamie O’Hara shares instant four-word reaction to Tottenham losing at Wolves

Tottenham Hotspur fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat away at Wolves in Saturday’s early Premier League kickoff.

And Spurs-leaning pundit Jamie O’Hara was not at all pleased with what he saw from Ange Postecoglou’s depleted charges, who bottled a 1-0 lead in injury time.

Indeed, the one-time Tottenham player took preventative action on social media, anticipating a lot of fans messaging him to laugh at his – and his team’s – expense.

“Turns Twitter notifications off,” O’Hara wrote on X, along with three angry red-faced emojis.

You can’t really blame O’Hara for not doing this. In the space of less than seven days, Spurs have gone from a table-topping, swashbuckling and defensively sound unit to… well, what they were like last season.

Monday’s loss to Chelsea saw four key starters – three of the back four plus James Maddison – all ruled out for the Wolves match.

Obviously such a loss of personnel for one game was going to have a negative impact. And yet, it’s more the nature of the defeat that stings.

Tottenham were so close to leaving Molineux with a 1-0 win, a scrappy victory that’s the mark of champions. But then, they conceded twice and left with nothing.

In the 91st minute, Matheus Cunha clipped the ball into the penalty area and Pablo Sarabia brought it down before firing past Guglielmo Vicario at his near post.

Then, in the seventh minute of injury time, Sarabia cut in from the right flank before slipping a through-ball through for Mario Lemina, who slotted into the bottom corner.

Both goals came from midfield runners not being tracked. Sarabia and Lemina were allowed to ghost into the box for the hosts’ goals.

Has anyone seen Tottenham?
