Tottenham Hotspur returned to the top of the Premier League table after winning on their return to action after the international break.
Ange Postecoglou’s Spurs ran out 2-0 winners over London rivals Fulham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Monday night.
Tottenham forward Son Heung-min opened the scoring in the 36th minute before James Maddison doubled the Spurs lead in the 54th minute.
The result saw Tottenham knock Manchester City off the top of the Premier League table, with Spurs also still unbeaten in the top flight this term.
It’s an outstanding time to be a Tottenham fan right now. Indeed, talk of a potential Premier League title challenge is now doing the rounds.
However, there are others who have swiftly shut down the prospect of Spurs actually going on to win the title.
For instance, Jamie O’Hara took to X on Tuesday to ask whether Tottenham could win the league, adding two side-eye emojis for good measure.

However, Chelsea legend John Terry made his feelings very clear with a one-word response: “NO!”

It’s not surprising to see a Chelsea-leaning figure answer so emphatically when a Tottenham-leaning pundit asks whether Spurs could win the title.
Obviously it’s still really early in the season. We’re just nine games in, with 29 yet to go, and for the most part, Spurs fans aren’t getting ahead of themselves just yet.
However, Tottenham fans are certainly enjoying themselves at present. And it’s no surprise, really. Spurs have been outstanding so far, not just in terms of results but also performances.
With that in mind, Tottenham supporters can certainly be forgiven for dreaming. And while the title will be a huge challenge, the prospect of a top-four finish or a domestic cup could well be on the cards.
