West Ham have now entered the race to sign ‘exceptional’ title-winning midfielder

West Ham have reportedly entered the race to sign Napoli midfielder Piotr Zielinski, who is expected to leave the Italian side in 2024.

According to Spazio Napoli, the Irons are now in the mix for the Polish international, with Liverpool also reportedly interested in signing Zielinski next year.

The 29-year-old is yet to renew his contract with Napoli despite playing a key role in the Serie A giants’ title-winning season last term, with West Ham now in for Zielinski.

Lauded as ‘exceptional’ by former Poland manager Paulo Sousa, the midfielder has been one of the best in his position in the Italian top-flight for some years.

And the Premier League could now be the Polish international’s next destination, with West Ham in the mix to lure Zielinski away from Napoli.

Indeed, the midfielder could be an outstanding option for the Irons in the January transfer window, but beating the likes of Liverpool will be a challenge for West Ham.

Zielinski’s future will be one of the more interesting transfer stories in the January transfer window, and West Ham will need to pull off all the stops if they’re to land the Pole.

Long-term interest from Liverpool will be a major problem for David Moyes’ side, especially with the Reds now legitimate challengers for the Premier League title this season.

Yet based on their European performances and some good results in the league, West Ham could be appealing for Zielinski, who could also warm to living in London.

The battle to sign the Polish superstar will be an interesting one, and for West Ham, they will need to do all they can to best Liverpool in the race for the midfielder.
