Report: Juventus add Manchester United and Liverpool stars to January shortlist

Italian newspaper Gazzetta claim that Juventus are looking to bring in a striker, with Alvaro Morata closing in on a move to Barcelona. Liverpool ace Divock Origi, and Manchester United’s Edinson Cavani are options.

Morata, 29, could be about to another one of Europe’s biggest institutions to his CV in the form of Barcelona. Currently, he is on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid. He has also played for Madrid and Chelsea.

The 50-time Spain international is closing in on a move to Barcelona, despite Xavi signing Ferran Torres from Manchester City. Juventus need a replacement and it appears they are looking at two Premier League stars.

Gazzetta claim Juventus could bring Belgium international Origi to Serie A next month, with Origi out of contract in the summer. Manchester United ace Cavani is also an option, as he continues to prove age is just a number at United.

It has been well-documented that Liverpool’s faltering title challenge, which sees them sit nine points behind Manchester City, is about to take another hit. That is, due to the African Cup of Nations.

Naby Keita, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane are set to leave for more than a month. So, Liverpool need their back-up forwards to come to the fore. Despite Origi’s contract situation, Liverpool need him. They have got to keep him.
