Tottenham fans discuss player’s contract, 10 days until pre-contract availability

Paulo Dybala remains out of contract at the end of the season with Juventus, and it is only 10 days until January 1. Tottenham fans have responded on Twitter to his contract situation, urging their club to get a deal done.

Dybala, 28, has been excellent for Juventus once again. Clocking up 17 appearances for the Old Lady, Dybala has had a hand in 12 goals under Max Allegri. The Argentina international has scored eight goals, and laid on four assists.

Sport Mediaset claimed in the summer that Fabio Paratici is an admirer of Dybala, and if available, he will try to convince Dybala to join Spurs. Of course, Dybala almost joined Tottenham in 2019 – image right ruling out a deal.

Juventus have been widely expected to renew Dybala’s contract over the last few weeks – but nothing has been forthcoming as of yet. From January 1, a pre-contract deal can be arranged by overseas clubs.

Within six months of his contract expiring, on June 30, non-Italian sides can approach Dybala on a free transfer. With Paratici in place, the potential of working under Antonio Conte, Spurs could re-enter the market for Dybala.

What are Tottenham fans saying about a move for Dybala?

Tottenham do need another striker. Harry Kane got his second Premier League goal of the season, but the England skipper might appreciate having some of the reliance to get goals removed from his shoulders.

Dybala would certainly improve the goal threat. Not only that, but Dybala could play from the right flank over Lucas Moura – alongside Kane in a 3-5-2 system, or as a 10. Tottenham fans have discussed Dybala on Twitter.
