Report: How much QSI are willing to pay Daniel Levy for a 25% stake in Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham Hotspur could become the latest Premier League side to be given Middle Eastern investment after recent reports.

A story published by The Telegraph has given more details about QSI potentially buying a stake in Tottenham.

Some of the league’s biggest clubs are now exploring the possibility of additional investment.

After Todd Boehly’s takeover of Chelsea, the value of similar sized football clubs has now shot up.

Liverpool and Manchester United are both reportedly exploring their options when it comes to additional investment.

United fans in particular would be very pleased to see the Glazers finally move on at Old Trafford.

However, there’s also the need for more money to be made available at Spurs.

Antonio Conte has made his demands in the transfer market clear, and has insisted on more money being made available for players.

With his contract set to expire in the summer, Daniel Levy will be wondering whether to grant him his wish, even if he then leaves Spurs in six months.

If QSI were to purchase a stake in Tottenham, it could certainly give the Italian manager the investment he desires.

QSI interested in Tottenham stake

The report from The Telegraph suggests that, “An offer worth under £1 billion for a 25 per cent stake in Tottenham was mooted by industry specialists as an option, with Al-Khelaifi and Levy said to be on good terms.”

They go on to say that QSI aren’t currently interested in a majority stake in Spurs, which may suit Levy and Enic.

QSI already own roughly the same size stake in Portuguese club SC Braga.

UEFA bans any entity from owning the majority of more than one club in Europe, to avoid any issues in case they come up against each other in competition.

A £1bn injection of cash in Tottenham would certainly be welcome and could help elevate Spurs to the next level.

If QSI do take over a stake in Tottenham, it’s unlikely to immediate take them to the same level as the likes of Manchester City and PSG.

There are still discussions over whether Spurs are even the club QSI will choose to invest in.

“It might not be Tottenham but it might be,” said an insider to The Telegraph over potential interest in Spurs.

Conte would love that investment to come in before the January transfer window closes.

It means he could bring in the likes of Pedro Porro, or another attacker, that will help them achieve their goals of staying in the Champions League spots.
