Newcastle United unveil club’s new 2022/23 home shirt

Newcastle United has unveiled the club’s new 2022/23 home shirt which will once again be sponsored by sportswear brand Castore.

The new home shirt will mark the first kit that has been chosen under the PIF ownership and the iconic black and white stripes remain while honouring the club’s 130-year history.

With Geordie fans re-engaged and re-energised following the end of the ill-fated Mike Ashley and Steve Bruce era, which culminated in the lucrative takeover and arrival of Eddie Howe – the new kit is likely to be a big hit with the Toon Army faithful.

Castore’s latest piece of work ties together traditional element of the club’s historic home kits as well as adding some modern touches, which in tandem creates a classic black and white jersey that is fitting for the past and future.

The elite ‘Pro’ version of the shirt, which will be donned by the likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Callum Wilson, Kieran Trippier and Allan Saint-Maximin, showcases Castore’s top-level innovative technology with laser-cut ventilation at the underarms to keep players cool, focused and hopefully at the top of their games during matches.

Newcastle fans will be hoping that Howe and his side can make next season a memorable one in the club’s new kit and kick on after steering comfortably clear of the relegation zone.

The feel-good factor at the club has returned following the appointment of the former Bournemouth manager and with another busy summer of transfer business expected, St James’ Park will continue to be a cauldron of noise.

After years of doom and gloom, the Magpies feel like they have their beloved club back and are dreaming of success once again.
