Roy Keane shocked after what Ian Wright has said about Everton vs Manchester United clash

Roy Keane was left stunned after Arsenal legend Ian Wright backed Everton to comfortably beat Manchester United this weekend.

Speaking on The Overlap, Ian Wright backed Sean Dyche’s men to put three past Erik ten Hag’s side at Goodison Park.

Everton will be well up for Sunday’s clash after being docked 10 points for a breach of the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules last week.

The Toffees find themselves second bottom with just four points after they had managed to pick up 14 from their opening 12 games.

As for Manchester United, they have picked up a couple of much-needed wins in the league of late to relieve some of the pressure on Ten Hag.

But Wright has surprisingly backed Everton to beat United either 3-0 or 3-1. And it’s fair to say that Roy Keane wasn’t impressed with his prediction.

Keane shocked after Wright’s Everton vs United prediction

Speaking on The Overlap, Wright shared his prediction for this weekend’s clash at Goodison Park.

He said: “Everton! I’m going to go Everton. Honestly, you can’t not win this one.”

“The atmosphere won’t turn Everton into Barcelona! They will still be the same players,” Keane responded.

“Don’t think with your United glasses on, this Everton side how they are going to feel against Manchester United, I fancy them,” Wright added. “I’d go 3-1, 3-0 Everton.”

And Keane was stunned after Wright’s claim, suggesting the Everton fans would soon turn should their team fall behind.

He said: “What are you on!? If United score the first goal they will be booing them!”

The Toffees have enjoyed a promising run of form of late, having picked up three wins from their last five Premier League games.

Dyche will undoubtedly be up for the challenge after last week’s news and it’s fair to say United haven’t been at their best under Ten Hag this season.

Yet, they have picked up 1-0 wins over Fulham and Luton and despite disappointing results in the League Cup and Champions League, their form in the league has improved.
