Tottenham manager Ange Postecoglou has been giving a Tottenham injury update ahead of Wolves and it’s pretty dire news really.
The Spurs boss has confirmed that James Maddison will be out until the new year, with Micky van de Ven also missing until 2024. Richarlison has had surgery, while Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie are both suspended.
However, there is some positive news when it comes to a few Spurs players.
One of those bits of positive news comes around Pedro Porro. Like so many others, there had been a concern that he’d picked up a knock against Chelsea as well.
But speaking to Football.London, Postecoglou has confirmed there’s no such issue with the Spaniard.

Speaking to Football.London in his presser, Postecoglou confirmed the better news on Porro, as well as fellow defender Ben Davies.
“We’ve got a couple of suspensions. Ben Davies is back and available. Pedro [Porro] is fine, he’s been training all week,” Postecoglou said.
Porro being fit and available is a boost for Tottenham in what has otherwise been a miserable week in terms of injuries.
The £39m signing has looked impressive since coming to England and has picked up the level a touch since Ange came in as well.
Postecoglou’s style requires his full-backs to get up the pitch and also be good enough to receive the ball in midfield areas. Porro can do just that and him being fit to face Wolves is a welcome reprieve.
For Porro, the key to being successful for him this season will be ensuring he keeps consistent with his performances. The demands of playing for a team aspiring for the league and top four are big and with that comes pressure that he’ll need to handle.
With so many players now out, it could be a chance for Porro to really step up and show he’s one of the leaders in the group.
