Newcastle United ended their mid-season break with a 2-1 win over La Liga side Rayo Vallecano.
Goals from Sean Longstaff and Chris Wood either side of half-time were enough to seal their second friendly win before the domestic season restarted.
Rayo Vallecano got a goal back through Matt Targett turning the ball into his own net.
Eddie Howe put out a relatively strong team, but was still missing a number of key players.
Callum Wilson and Alexander Isak were both unavailable, and Wood now looks set to start their Carabao Cup tie on Tuesday against Bournemouth.
Bruno Guimaraes and Joelinton were both missing in midfield, while Fabian Schar wasn’t included after his World Cup exploits.

It gave Howe the chance to use a number of young players off the bench.
One of those was 16-year-old Lewis Miley, who really impressed Longstaff.
The pair lined up in midfield alongside each in the closing stages, with Miley coming off the bench in place of Kieran Trippier.
After being part of the first team squad in Saudi Arabia, Miley earned his first senior appearance at St. James’ Park.
It could be the first of many for the teenager, who is very highly regarded by Newcastle’s coaching staff and senior players.

The 25-year-old was asked about Miley’s cameo, and said: “Nah, I was never that good at 16! Not just him, the other young lads, but especially Lew (Miley) obviously being in my position.
“In Saudi, I remember sort of speaking to him and I got on the phone to my family and said, ‘you don’t realise how young he is until you speak to him properly!’.
“He’s got all the tools, and obviously played in a little game yesterday, and you just watch him from the side and you realise how good he is.
“It’s been an absolute joy to work with him, he’s such a lovely lad, and I said to him, ‘anything you need from me or the team, we’re there for you, 100%’.
“He always listens, and when someone listens and always to get better, it’s a joy to have them with you.
“Hopefully for him he can kick on, train with us, and try and play as much as he can, because it will only get him better, and hopefully he can go to the top.”
With Newcastle competing at the top of the table, Howe may not have many opportunities to give Miley a competitive debut this season.
The central midfielder, who was born in 2006, has plenty of time to earn a place in the Newcastle senior set-up.
An England under-17 international, Miley has the likes of Elliot Anderson to look up to as an example of breaking into the squad.
