The Premier League is blessed with some of the best attacking midfield talent in all of world football.
The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Bruno Fernandes and James Maddison are all genuinely world class players, while Martin Odegaard is also utterly brilliant for Arsenal.
Eberechi Eze is one of the young stars making his way in this league at the moment, and speaking on the Sky Sports Premier League YouTube channel, the Crystal Palace star has been discussing some of his peers and who inspires him.
Eze was specifically asked about Bruno Fernandes and Odegaard, and he says that while he doesn’t necessarily model his game on these two, he does really enjoy watching them play.
Eze enjoys watching Odegaard
Eze spoke about the £30m man and the Manchester United captain.
“These two (Fernandes and Odegaard), they don’t play the exact same role as you, but they’re kind of in that 10 space, are these players you’re looking at and modelling your game on?” Eze was asked.
“I wouldn’t say I’m modelling their game on them, but I watch these players and they’re highly creative. I would say my style is different to them, but I enjoy watching them for sure,” Eze said.

Different
Eze and Odegaard are two utterly fantastic attacking midfield players, but they’re brilliant in their own different ways.
Eze is much more of a ball carrier and a flair player, while Odegaard is more of a traditional playmaker who likes to pick locks with his passing and make things happen in a different way.
It’s no surprise to hear that Eze is a huge fan of Odegaard. After all, he’s a world-class talent who any football fan can enjoy basking in the glory of.
Eze is a star in the making and who knows? Perhaps the next generation will be speaking about the Crystal Palace star in the way he speaks about the Arsenal skipper.
