24-year-old Arsenal player spotted taunting Brentford fans after important victory yesterday

At full time between Arsenal and Brentford yesterday, Declan Rice caused a bit of a stir with his reaction to the home fans.

Rice was celebrating the win with the travelling Arsenal crowd and was applauding the away end.

However, he could also hear the Brentford fans berating him at the same time in close proximity.

And upon hearing their chants, Rice decided to clap the home fans in a sarcastic manner, and then pumped his fists towards them.

Rice delivered another brilliant performance on the pitch, and if anyone had merit to defend themselves towards the playful jeers, it was him.

It’s almost hard to remember that we are only a few months into Rice’s career at Arsenal.

Since making his £105m move the midfielder has been quite outstanding, seemingly taking no time to adjust.

And whilst that may be expected of a player of his calibre, so many high-profile signings do go the other way.

Rice is already one of Arsenal’s most crucial players, as he proved against Brentford.

Although, Rice’s performance wasn’t the biggest talking point of the day.

Aaron Ramsdale made his long-awaited return in the Arsenal net, and had a tough evening despite his clean sheet.

However, he ultimately did get through the game unscathed with the help of his teammates.

And both Rice and Saka showed their support for Ramsdale after the game.

It proved to be a brilliant win for Arsenal, one delivered by none other than Kai Havertz.

And although it could prove to be a vital three points at a very tough ground, some still had concerns over Arsenal’s attacking threat.

Alan Shearer was still unconvinced by two Arsenal forwards, players he thought needed to improve.

But with the likes of William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes and Rice providing such a strong rear guard for Arsenal against Brentford, they can often fall back on a clean sheet away from home.
