Gabriel Magalhaes and Reiss Nelson so impressed with 22-year-old Arsenal player last night

Gabriel Magalhaes and Reiss Nelson sent messages to Gabriel Martinelli on social media after Arsenal beat Sevilla last night.

Arsenal got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over the La Liga outfit, which takes them four points clear at the top of their Champions League group.

Leandro Trossard opened the scoring in the 30th minute before Bukayo Saka eventually sealed the win on the hour mark.

Saka picked up the Man of the Match award after also creating Trossard’s opener but Gabriel Martinelli also starred on the night.

The 22-year-old produced an excellent through ball to set Saka away for Arsenal’s second and provided a constant threat down the left-hand side.

And his performance has left Gabriel Magalhaes and Reiss Nelson impressed.

Gabriel and Nelson impressed with Martinelli’s latest Arsenal display

Martinelli took to Instagram last night to express his delight at picking up another Champions League win.

The winger wrote: “UCL nights,” alongside a picture of himself in action for the Gunners.

Both Gabriel and Nelson left comments beneath the post to show their appreciation for Martinelli’s performance.

Martinelli is yet to find his best form this season but seems to be getting back to his best in recent weeks.

The Brazil star has still managed five goal involvements in 13 appearances in all competitions. But last night’s display is what you’d expect from the winger more consistently.

Mikel Arteta will be hoping to see Martinelli return to the exceptional form he produced last season.

Arsenal are in a strong position in their Champions League group after last night’s win.

The Gunners currently sit four points clear at the top of the group with just two games left to play.
