Arsenal are reportedly scouting £100m player who Ian Wright says has got absolutely ‘everything’

Arsenal are reportedly scouting Brighton striker Evan Ferguson and it’s fair to say that Ian Wright is a huge fan of the youngster.

Mikel Arteta could be in the market for a new striker over the coming transfer windows, with Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah failing to find the back of the net regularly.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Brentford’s Ivan Toney ahead of the January window.

Toney reportedly prefers a move to Arsenal over the likes of Chelsea. Yet, Arteta’s men are eyeing other possible targets.

Indeed, TEAMtalk claimed just yesterday that Arsenal have been scouting Ferguson over the past year.

And should the Gunners move for the 19-year-old, Ian Wright is likely to back the decision.

Wright says Arsenal target Ferguson has ‘everything’

Speaking on Match of the Day after Ferguson netted a hat-trick against Newcastle back in September, Wright raved about the Brighton forward.

“He has got everything,” the Arsenal legend said. “Great movement, fantastic first touch, he takes up great positions.

“He is only going to get better.” as quoted by The Argus.

Ferguson has made a real impact in the Premier League over the past year and nailed down his place as a starter at Brighton.

The Irishman is already attracting interest from a host of top clubs, with the Seagulls slapping a £100 million price tag on his head.

The striker has netted five times in 11 games this season and looks set for a bright future ahead in English football.

Yet, it would be a surprise to see Arsenal opt for a more inexperienced option should they move for a striker.

It’s no secret that Arteta is desperate to deliver a Premier League title to the Emirates Stadium and they may need a player who is ready to come in and make a huge impact from the off.
