Ian Wright has now been discussing the progress of Darwin Nunez at Liverpool after another exciting display against Brentford.
Wright was speaking on the BBC’s Match of the Day 2 and not only praised Nunez’ performance, but also his attitude.
Nunez endured a tough time against Luton Town last weekend, missing several chances.
But Wright was so impressed by his enthusiasm and determination to not let those misses affect his confidence.
Wright thought Nunez has been improving every week, and is also now forming a great partnership with Mohamed Salah at Liverpool.
He said: “The way he runs the channels, I think his link-up play is getting better every week.
“We’re still seeing some of the chances [missed] but he looks like somebody whose confidence is not eroded at all.

“Even when he misses, next week he tries again. You see his link up play with Salah, he’s looking really good.”
And although Nunez left Anfield without a goal yesterday, he certainly left his impact on the game.

Of course, it has always felt as if the Uruguayan was on the cusp of something brilliant at Anfield.
A player with so much ability, but one it hasn’t quite all come together for thus far.
But Jurgen Klopp does now seem to have added faith in Nunez to lead his line this season, and he certainly has the players around him to succeed.
As well as Mohamed Salah delivering from the right, Nunez also had the deliveries of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
And although he’s playing a more inverted role this season, Trent is still being heavily praised for his passing by pundits.
It’s all coming together now for Liverpool, and a trip to the Etihad after the international break will be an excellent barometer of their title challenge.
Darwin Nunez will be hoping to outdo Erling Haaland in the top of the table clash.
And if Ian Wright’s words are anything to judge by, this may be the exact kind of game for Nunez to take his Liverpool career to the next level.
