Liverpool cult hero Jose Enrique has welcomed Joe Gomez’s inclusion in the Reds starting XI tonight.
Jurgen Klopp’s charges host Benfica at Anfield in their Champions League quarter-final second leg.
The Liverpool boss has made seven changes from the starting line-up which drew at Manchester City.
Gomez is one of those changes, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold at right-back.
The 24-year-old filled in for Alexander-Arnold against Watford earlier this month.
Gomez then remained on the bench against the Citizens but is now back in the XI against the Portuguese giants.
Enrique responded to Anfield Watch’s Twitter post on Gomez’s return with a four-word comment:

As well as Alexander-Arnold, the likes of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane, Virgil van Dijk, Fabinho and Andrew Robertson are also on the bench.
Klopp has opted for a back four of Gomez, Ibrahima Konate, Joel Matip and Kostas Tsimikas.
Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Naby Keita make up the midfield.
And Roberto Firmino, Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz make up the front three against Benfica.
Liverpool lead the Portuguese side 3-1 from the first leg in Lisbon last week.
Victory this evening will set up a semi-final clash with Villarreal.
Unai Emery’s side went through 2-1 on aggregate against Bayern Munich.
