Leeds want to sign ‘unbelievable’ winger Jurgen Klopp once described as ‘wonderful’

Leeds United want to sign Ryan Kent in the January transfer window.

That is according to TEAMtalk, which has claimed a hurdle that Leeds face in their quest to bring the former Liverpool and Rangers winger to Elland Road.

So, what is being reported about Leeds United and Ryan Kent? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, according to TEAMtalk, Leeds United are interested in signing Ryan Kent from Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce signed Kent on a free transfer only in the summer of 2023, but the Turkish giants are ready to let the former Rangers and Liverpool winger leave on loan in the January transfer window.

The Turkish club are also “willing to negotiate an option to buy”.

TEAMtalk has claimed that Leeds, who are playing in the Championship this season after getting relegated from the Premier League, want to bring the winger to Elland Road on a loan deal.

The problem for Leeds is that Premier League club Bournemouth are keeping tabs on the 26-year-old’s situation and are interested in the winger as well.

Leeds United could struggle to sign Ryan Kent in January

In my opinion, Leeds United could struggle to sign Ryan Kent in the January transfer window.

Leeds wanted to sign Kent in the summer transfer window, but the winger, described as “a wonderful player” by Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on LFCTV in July 2019, did not fancy a move to Elland Road.

I do not see why the 26-year-old winger would change his mind now, especially as he has interest from Bournemouth.

Bournemouth are playing in the Premier League, and I believe that a loan move to the Cherries would be more appealing to Kent than playing for a club in the Championship for the second half of the campaign.

True, Leeds are a massive club, but Bournemouth are playing in the Premier League at the moment.

I think that Kent, who is “almost unbelievable” and is “a top player” according to Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin, would fancy turning out in the top flight of English football.
