‘Minimum’… Peter Martin predicts how many points Celtic will finish ahead of Rangers at end of the season

Away from Champions League duty for a minute, Celtic’s form in the Scottish Premiership has come under the microscope after Saturday’s draw with Motherwell.

Johnathan Obika’s 90th-minute header led to Celtic dropping another two points for the third time this season.

But despite that, Peter Martin has shared that not only does he believe Celtic will still win the league, he also thinks they will win it by a huge points margin ahead of Rangers.

Martin said [PLZ Soccer], “Is it fair to say that they are out in front and Rangers don’t look as if they are capable of catching them at the minute?

“I still stick by what I said at the start of the season. I still think Celtic will win the league by, minimum, ten points.

“But right now, there’s been little flashes I think, mainly in Europe, where you can see the tremendous potential of Brendan and what he’s trying to do.

“They’ve got injuries, I accept that, but it’s not quite clicked the way he’s wanted it at the moment.”

Celtic’s domination of Rangers will continue this season

Despite the rumblings in the media of Rangers looking like a much better outfit under Phillipe Clement than they did under Michael Beale, Celtic still remain unbeaten in the league.

Brendan Rodgers has taken his side to every away ground in Scotland and won. And as I said yesterday, Rangers failed at the first hurdle when they, luckily, drew with Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

With £70m in the bank, Celtic also have the ability to splash out and strengthen in the transfer market if they wish. And they are widely expected to do so this January.

So whilst Rangers have had a mini revival under Clement, Celtic will prove to be too strong for them both on and off the park as they continue to dominate Scottish football.

In other news, £12m player is being considered for a January move by Celtic
