Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai enjoyed another superb weekend as he netted twice for Hungary to send them to Euro 2024.
Szoboszlai has proven every bit the top signing Liverpool thought they were getting since making his £60m move from RB Leipzig in the summer.
The 22-year-old is already one of the first names on Jurgen Klopp’s team-sheet and it very much seems like the Reds have more than upgrade on Jordan Henderson.
Szoboszlai has already impressed a number of pundits as well. Paul Merson admitted he’d been his favourite player this season, while Danny Murphy has lauded the midfielder as ‘phenomenal’ for his performances.
And adding to the praise, former Liverpool full-back Jose Enrique has suggested on Instagram that Szoboszlai has been one of the signings of the season in the entire Premier League.

Every so often, a club makes a new signing that just fits right into things immediately and Liverpool appear to have done that with Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Hungarian midfielder looks a class above at times and it’s little wonder he is loved so much on the international stage as well.
Liverpool might have spent big on Szoboszlai in the summer but that £60m and £120k-a-week spend now looks a bargain already.
The Reds are doing very well this season and a driving force behind that form has been their new signing.
Of course, other players are doing the business as well. Fellow newbies Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch also look the real deal and Liverpool’s midfield is now well stocked.
But the star of the show has been Szoboszlai and you get the impression if Liverpool do go close to winning something this term, then he’ll have been key.
