BBC pundit Chris Sutton predicts who’ll win Arsenal vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Chris Sutton has given his prediction of the game between Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium.

The former Chelsea striker and BBC Sport pundit has outlined how he thinks that the match will pan out.

So, what has Chris Sutton said about the upcoming game between Arsenal and Wolverhampton Wanderers? Let’s take a look.

Chris Sutton backs Arsenal to win vs Wolverhampton Wanderers

Well, Arsenal will lock horns with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates Stadium in North London in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

The Gunners are at the top of the league table with 30 points from 13 matches. Mikel Arteta’s side, who won in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, are a point above second-placed and defending champions Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Wolves are 12th in the standings now. The Wanderers have picked up 15 points from 13 matches and are 10 points above the relegation zone.

Former Aston Villa striker and BBC Sport pundit Chris Sutton has backed Arsenal to pick up all three points from the match against Wolves courtesy of a 2-0 win.

Sutton told BBC Sport: “Wolves have been on the wrong end of a few dodgy VAR decisions recently and that is what has cost them points, rather than poor performances.

“Arsenal left it very late to beat Brentford last week at the very end of a very close game and I don’t see this as being straightforward for them either. It will be down to the Gunners to find a way of winning it, again, and I think they will do that.

“What really helps Arsenal at the moment is how strong they are at the back – they have the best defensive record in the Premier League, and I can see them keeping another clean sheet here.

“I covered their win over Lens in the Champions League for BBC Radio 5 live on Wednesday and, in his programme notes, Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard said he felt they hadn’t hit their best form yet.

“But they are still top of the Premier League and through to the last 16 in Europe after topping their group, and maybe there is more to come.

“Sutton’s prediction: 2-0.”

Arsenal are favourites vs Wolves

In my view, Arsenal are favourites to win against Wolverhampton Wanderers. They are the better team, are in better form, and are also at home.

Wolves, who want to sign goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale from Arsenal, have done well this season, and they would have picked more points than they have had they not had refereeing decisions go against them.

So, I believe that Arsenal should not be complacent and have to be defensively tight, especially in the opening 30 minutes.
