West Ham could now launch bid to sign 21-year-old Chelsea player in January

David Moyes’s West Ham United are interested in signing Ian Maatsen from Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea.

That is according to journalist Rudy Galetti, who has noted what West Ham are now planning to do.

So, what has been reported about West Ham United, Chelsea and Ian Maatsen? Let’s take a look.

West Ham United could make January bid for Chelsea’s Ian Maatsen

Well, according to journalist Rudy Galetti, West Ham United are interested in signing Ian Maatsen from London and Premier League rivals Chelsea in the January transfer window.

The reporter has noted that West Ham have already asked for information about the left-back. The Hammers, who won the UEFA Europa Conference League last season, are considering making a bid for him in January.

Maatsen has made seven substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea so far this season.

The 21-year-old, who can also play as a left-back or left wing-back, has played twice in the Carabao Cup for the Blues this campaign.

There is speculation that Chelsea are willing to sell the youngster. Manchester City have been linked with him as well.

Ian Maatsen should consider West Ham United move

In my opinion, Chelsea player Ian Maatsen should consider a move to West Ham United in the January transfer window.

Maatsen is not getting much playing time at Chelsea at the moment. It is hard to see the 21-year-old establish himself in the starting lineup anytime soon.

I believe that if Maatsen gets the chance to make the move to West Ham, then he should do it. The Hammers are a big and established club in the Premier League, and I think that the youngster would flourish at the Hammers.

West Ham are ninth in the Premier League table at the moment with 20 points from 13 matches, while Chelsea are 10th with 16 points from 13 games.
