Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham want to sign teenage talent who has already rejected Chelsea

Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have sent their scouts to watch Antonio Nusa, a player who rejected a move to Chelsea in the summer.

Tottenham sent scouts to watch Chelsea target Antonio Nusa

Tottenham Hotspur are building a talented young squad under Ange Postecoglou, and Antonio Nusa fits their transfer strategy perfectly.

The Norwegian has been a popular name in Europe for a few months now. He is a fine talent, and it is no surprise that numerous clubs are keeping an eye on him.

Chelsea were so keen on young Nusa that they made a £25.7 million bid to sign him in the summer. The youngster, however, rejected a move to Stamford Bridge at the time (90min).

In a more recent story, 90min revealed that Arsenal, Liverpool and Newcastle United are all tracking Nusa, as are European sides Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Lyon and Monaco. Chelsea also reportedly remain interested.

Now, if Fabrizio Romano is to be believed, Tottenham have sent their scouts to watch the 18-year-old Norway international in recent weeks.

The journalist said on Kick: “Tottenham are one of many clubs scouting Antonio Nusa. He’s a very special talent.

“Tottenham sent their scouts, Chelsea sent their scouts, many clubs are following him. But, at the moment, still no substantial update.”

Martin Odegaard thinks he’s fantastic

When you think of Norway, you think of Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard, who also happens to be his country’s skipper.

The two players are the stars of their nation, but there’s young Antonio Nusa coming through now, and Odegaard has already raved about him.

The Arsenal star said, as quoted by the Mirror: “Fantastic! He is an incredibly exciting player. You see it every time he gets the ball, it’s exciting.

“He is still young and will get even better. It was cool to see him. He deserved to get the chance that he takes to such an extent. Incredibly cool.”
