Arsenal are preparing to face Lens in Wednesday night’s Champions League encounter at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners need just one point to proceed to the last 16 of the competition and will no doubt want to avenge their defeat to the Ligue 1 side earlier this term.
Mikel Arteta has called up a number of young talents to training ahead of the match, including the record-breaking Ethan Nwaneri, who was pictured at London Colney.
The now 16-year-old became the youngest player to feature in a Premier League game in the history of the competition after getting a chance against Brentford last year.
Although he hasn’t played a game for the Arsenal senior side since, it looks like there’s a chance he could make the bench in the meeting with Lens.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Gunners academy faced their Lens counterparts in the UEFA Youth League, and Nwaneri wasn’t in the squad.
The ‘unplayable‘ midfield talent is currently playing for the Arsenal Under-21s, which is no mean feat at just 16 years of age.

Not only that, but Nwaneri is looking too good for the Premier League 2 already. He has four goals and one assist from four outings in the competition this term.
Rio Ferdinand suggested last year that everything he has heard about Nwaneri hints that he has the talent to handle all of the expectations.
“There’s no doubting this kid’s ability,” he told his YouTube channel.
“I’ve heard from coaches that are at the club and from various different people in the game at that level that there aren’t many 15-year-olds in the last 10 or so years that have got the ability that this guy’s shown on a consistent basis.
“We are talking the Fodens of this world. At 15, he’s at a similar level they’re talking.”
Arsenal’s academy has produced some amazing talents in recent years, and Nwaneri looks like he’s on the right track to break into the first team in the coming years.
