‘I noticed’: Pundit says 24-year-old Arsenal player has been working so much harder recently

Kai Havertz hasn’t really got going at Arsenal just yet, but he’s now moving in the right direction.

The German has now scored two goals in his last two games for the Gunners, and that’s a real step up from what was a terrible start to the season.

Havertz has looked a lot better in recent weeks, and speaking on the Handbrake Off Podcast, Adrian Clarke thinks he’s spotted a reason why.

Indeed, the pundit says he’s noticed that Havertz is running with a lot more intent in recent games, claiming that he’s now sprinting into the box with more ambition and busting a gut to get on the end of passes.

Havertz is working harder

Clarke shared what he’s noticed about Havertz.

“The difference as well is that he’s making runs into the box with a real spriteliness, he’s not ambling in there, I noticed that he was sprinting into the box, he didn’t always receive it, but he seemed more ambitious in his mentality, he was really busting a gut to make up ground,” Clarke said.

Getting results

It won’t come as a surprise to any football fan that hard work breeds results.

Havertz wasn’t putting in this level of effort earlier this season, and that led to poor performances, but now, he’s looking a lot sharper and working a lot harder.

Havertz had to change something at Arsenal. After all, he was truly terrible to start the season, and it looks like he’s decided that he’s going to put in that much more effort on the pitch, and the results are now there for all to see.

The German still has a long way to go to justify his huge pricetag from this summer, but he’s made two steps in the right direction after his two recent performances.
