Michael Owen gives verdict on Alejandro Garnacho goal for Manchester United vs Everton

Michael Owen has given his verdict on the goal that Alejandro Garnacho scored for Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United against Sean Dyche’s Everton.

United beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday.

So, what has Michael Owen said about Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, Manchester United have got the better of Everton 3-0 away from home at Goodison Park in the Premier League.

Alejandro Garnacho opened the scoring for United after just three minutes.

Marcus Rashford made it 2-0 to Erik ten Hag’s side in the 56th minute, and then in the 75th minute, Anthony Martial wrapped up the points for the visiting team with the third goal.

Garnacho’s goal was the best of the match and probably even the weekend – maybe it was the best goal we have seen in the Premier League so far this season.

As you can see below, former United striker Michael Owen was hugely impressed.

In the third minute of the match, Diogo Dalot dinked a cross into the Everton box.

There did not appear to be much danger, but the Everton defenders had not counted on Garnacho trying something audacious.

The 19-year-old Argentina international winger, who has been likened to Kylian Mbappe, took a couple of steps back before going for a stunning bicycle kick.

Everton and England international goalkeeper Jordan Pickford had no chance whatsoever of keeping Garnacho’s effort out.

Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is a big talent

In my view, Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho is a huge talent. I believe that the teenager has the potential to become world class.

Garnacho is only 19 now and is just starting his career. Yet, the winger has made a number of appearances for United and has also turned out three times for Argentina. You do not do that if you are not a big talent.

The winger has scored four goals and given two assists in 32 Premier League appearances so far in his career.
