Arsenal could now launch £120m bid to sign ‘world class’ player, Mikel Arteta really wants him

Arsenal could make Victor Osimhen their most expensive-ever signing and bring him to the Emirates Stadium.

That is according to TEAMtalk, which has noted what Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta really thinks of Osimhen and has claimed interest from another London club.

So, what has been reported about Arsenal and Napoli striker Victor Osimhen? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, according to TEAMtalk, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants to sign Victor Osimhen from Napoli.

The report has claimed that Arteta admires the Nigeria international striker. Chelsea are also reported to be keen on Osimhen and are working on a deal to make a transfer happen. Liverpool have been linked as well.

Arsenal are “keen to make a deal happen” as well, according to TEAMtalk, which has added that the North London club could “fork out the £120million required” to bring Osimhen to the Emirates Stadium.

The report has noted that Arsenal are looking to sign a striker in the January transfer window to enhance their chances of winning the Premier League title this season.

Arsenal should bid for Napoli striker Victor Osimhen in January 2024

In my view, if Arsenal have already decided to pay £120 million for Victor Osimhen, then there is no need for the North London club to wait until the end of the season.

I believe that if Arsenal are ready to pay what it would take to sign the striker, then they should just make a bid in the January transfer window.

After all, the Gunners are aiming to beat Liverpool and Manchester City to the Premier League title this season. Gabriel Jesus is not scoring enough goals, so someone like Osimhen would be a very welcome addition to the squad. According to former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun, the Napoli star is “world class”.

Of course, Napoli themselves may not been willing to sell Osimhen in the middle of the season. After all, they are the defending Serie A champions and could win the Scudetto again this season.

However, a huge bid worth £120 million could be very tempting for Napoli. In football money talks.
