Arsenal could now try to swap Thomas Partey for ‘extraordinary’ £67m striker in January

Arsenal are interested in bringing Dusan Vlahovic to the Emirates Stadium.

That is according to TuttoJuve, which has reported a plan that Arsenal could use to get a deal done for the striker.

So, what is being reported about Arsenal and Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic? Let’s take a look.

What’s the story?

Well, according to TuttoJuve, Arsenal are interested in signing Dusan Vlahovic from Juventus in the January transfer window.

Atletico Madrid are also keen on Vlahovic, described as “an extraordinary player” by former Juventus teammate Federico Bernardeschi in April 2023.

The report in the Italian news outlet has noted that Arsenal could try to do a swap deal with Juventus for the Serbia international striker, who is faster than Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku.

Juventus want to sign Thomas Partey from Arsenal. So, the Gunners could try to include the Ghana international defensive midfielder in a deal to bring Vlahovic to the Emirates Stadium in the middle of the season.

There is speculation that Partey wants to leave Arsenal “immediately”, and that the North London club are willing to sell him in January.

Arsenal plan regarding Dusan Vlahovic – Thomas Partey swap could work

I personally do not think that Arsenal should let Thomas Partey leave in January without lining up a replacement first, but if they are able to get Dusan Vlahovic in return, then they should go for it.

Vlahovic is one of the best young strikers in the world. He cost Juventus £67 million (Metro) when they signed him from Fiorentina.

The 23-year-old is a very good number 9 who would be able to score the goals that Gabriel Jesus does not.

Jesus is a very good ‘forward’, but the Brazil international is not very prolific. He has scored just one goal in seven Premier League matches for Arsenal this season.

Vlahovic has scored four goals and given one assist in six Serie A starts for Juventus this season.
