£35m Arsenal player will now miss international break due to injury, he’s staying in England

Martin Odegaard will reportedly remain at Arsenal for the international break having picked up an injury that has kept the midfielder out of action.

According to journalist Simon Collings, the Gunners skipper will not join up with the Norway national team this month having missed the last few games due to a hip injury.

Odegaard was already rumoured to miss Norway’s November fixtures, and this latest update seemingly confirms that the 24-year-old playmaker will now remain in north London for the next few days.

The £35m superstar has been a major miss for Arsenal, with Odegaard not featuring for Mikel Arteta’s side since their 3-1 loss to West Ham in the League Cup.

Indeed, many fans will want to see Odegaard back in action after the international break, and this latest injury update could be the best thing that happens to the midfielder.

Odegaard has been a major miss for Arsenal in the last few games, and whilst the midfielder missing the international window might be viewed as a bad thing, it could mean the exact opposite.

The Gunners have a packed winter schedule coming up after the break which includes games against the likes of Aston Villa and Liverpool, and having Odegaard back in action will be massive.

And keeping the Norwegian superstar at London Colney will only help with Odegaard’s recovery, with this injury the last thing Arsenal wanted heading into the November break.
